Sick

It is a guarantee that millions of Americans wake up today embracing the fact that Obamacare is one step closer to the grave. And equally certain that many of these same people do not fully understand that so are they.

No matter the facts of this intended legislation, its massive reduction in Medicaid monies and government subsidies, its demolition of mandates for those who can afford to do so to buy coverage, its decimation of rights for those with pre-existing conditions, many of those in the direct path of this bullet will take comfort in the belief that Mr. Trump is doing right by them and this nation.

It is a bill of intended consequences, not meant to heal the sick but merely to appease those sick of caring for the less well off; not a mathematical miracle but a three card Monte betrayal; not alms for the poor but a thinly veiled effort to turn away millions in their hour of need.

This is Darwinism at our doorstep. It is an America without compassion or morality. And it makes me sick.

Yesterday in the WH Rose Garden Trump and 100 white men celebrated taking away health care access to women, minorities and the poor. Even though the Senate is likely to make many changes, nonetheless, most Americans are likely to get sicker and sink more into despair. We live in difficult times.

Sick is right. Our political system is sick. How to endure another four years of this? Every day brings bad news.

I keep waking up to a sickening feeling that the future is becoming bleaker and bleaker with the President and the Republican Congress that is governing today. I can only hope the Senate will come to its senses and truly pass a bill that will save lives and not destroy them.

Too awful for words.

Winning is much more important to Trump than decency

Great! You know I agree with you even though the mean-spirited white guys on the Hill don’t.

Is one of the pre-existing conditions having a social conscious ? Surely, the GOP don't have that one trait. Sad, very sad.
