Slow Down, You're Going Nowhere (An updated version of "Guys and Dolls")

I dreamed last night I was in my car in Fort Lee
And by some chance I was headed to New York
And there he stood and he hollered "close that lane now"
And my passengers they knew he'd done wrong

For the governor said slow down, slow down you're going nowhere
And the governor said slow down, slow down you're going nowhere
I'm the devil, I'll pull you over
In a traffic nightmare, nowhere to go
Slow down, slow down, slow down, slow down, slow down you're going nowhere

And as I sat
With those passengers to nowhere
By some chance
I took my cell phone out
And as he stood
And he shuttered when I snapped him
Got the governor at his worst doing wrong

For the governor said slow down, slow down you're going nowhere
And the governor said slow down, slow down you're going nowhere
I'm the devil, I'll pull you over,
In a traffic nightmare, nowhere to go
Slow down, slow down, slow down, slow down, slow down you're going nowhere

And as we sat
In that tiny car to nowhere
That great big man
Came and snatched away my phone
And as I shook
And I hollered someone save me
That's the moment I woke up
Thank the lord

And I said to myself slow down,
Slow down and don't rock his boat
I said to myself slow down
Slow down and don't rock his boat
Cause the governor 'll drag me under
With his sharpened tongue and pitchfork of note
Slow down, slow down
Slow down, slow down, slow down and don't rock his boat

Slow down, slow down
Slow down, slow down, slow down and don't rock his boat

Slow down

Slow down
