This one is just begging to be listed in Webster's as the perfect example of irony.
While it would be polite to say I wish no one ill, the President has taught us all that politeness is a weakness. So, Mr. Trump let me be the first to wish you not well.
Let me be clear that the President will try to turn his positive result into a positive result. He will inform us he is feeling fine. He will tell us that he is the strongest of men his age, that he can beat back any illness. He will say, look at me, there is nothing to fear from the Coronavirus but fear itself.
But would it not be the height of irony if the virus proved the President's political death knell. If it demonstrated that his mask of false bravado was no defense against a disease that demands one wear an actual mask in prevention.
And while he may recover from the illness maybe he won't be able to recover from the psychological impact of he, his wife and maybe a full coterie of those around him proving how sick it is to try to treat this disease with contempt.
Mr. Trump, I wish you a speedy recovery so that you are in perfect health on November 3 when I hope the results of that test make you sick.
Irony, thy name is Trump.

I wish and pray for a speedy and complete recovery for the Donald and Melania Trump as well as a cancellation of his campaign and quick return to private life.
His need to always be right will override his using a mask going forward. Clorox anyone?
We watched the breaking news til after 2 am and, knowing it was definitely “too early to call” you, we could barely sleep as we anxiously waited to read these very words from you!
....May November 4th be a day that marks a new beginning for our country - a peaceful day of celebration and hope followed by a collective commitment to the renewal and revival of our precious democratic values and ideals and to the sacred work of repairing our suffering country and a broken world.

One could cut the irony of the president's diagnosis with a knife. After months of denying the terrible effects of COVID-19, and saying he knew how deadly it was in late January, Donald Trump has the virus. While the temptation to say we told you so is powerful, I sincerely wish the president and the first lady, and all the others who may have been exposed to this deadly virus, a speedy and complete recovery. The president's diagnosis is a serious threat to the security of the nation, the actual functioning of our government, and to the impending presidential election on November 3rd. There are other threats as well, like the fact that we did not learn about this awful news from the White House, but rather from Jennifer Jacobs of Bloomberg News. We now know that that White House Press Secretary, Kayleigh McEnany, knew that senior White House aide, Hope Hicks had tested positive for the virus, but held a press briefing without wearing a mask and without telling anyone in attendance. In the chaos and doubt caused by the president's coronavirus diagnosis, there could be a silver lining. Massive rallies and fund raising events will cease for at least two weeks, and maybe, just maybe, the pleas of the medical and scientific communities will take hold with respect to wearing masks, social distancing, contact tracing, and testing, testing, testing. If the president of the United States, who is tested daily can become infected, anyone who does not take this virus seriously, attends rallies and goes mask-less, is playing Russian Roulette with their lives and the lives of their loved ones and friends.
